I hear that I am committing the cardinal sin of politics by putting my thoughts in writing; thoughts that can be used against me for the rest of my political career (no matter how brief it will be). On April 26, 2010 the run for Hall County Commission became official until when I qualified as a republican candidate. I am looking forward to an energetic and fun campaign. The Vote4Lutz team had a great day knocking on doors. While up in the Morgan I precinct, I ran across two people that did not know that my wife and I wrote a check to the City of Flowery Branch to cover the special election to replace me. In fact, they both said that people were using the fact that I cost the taxpayers as a reason not to vote for me.
I don’t know if the people that are spreading these rumors are uninformed or if they are intentionally trying to mislead the electorate. What I do know, is that I can only control what I do. The decision to run for county office was a difficult one for my family to make. Before making the decision to run, we sought out council from other members of government and from many residents in the city. Unanimously, they all felt that I could serve the area better as our commissioner....
